Busy busy busy

This past weekend marked the beginning of a busy season for me and the business. As someone who casually participates in markets, having multiple on my schedule over the next few months has got me in busy bee mode.

My largest market is at the end of this month and it feels like a big step in terms of my progression as a professional artist. My imposter syndrome is looming but I’m attempting to stay focused and not let my fears overtake things.

On top of markets, my family is doing some major life changes and my house keeps having random things break. Between prepping for markets, trying to get my porch stained (but the weather won’t cooperate), and having various appliances break down on us, our lives have been in a state on non-stop go go go!

I’ve described my day to day as I’m constantly running and only at roughly 9pm-10pm do I feel like I can stop running and maybe have a moment to sit down and catch my breath. But of course that’s when my husband is also able to catch his breath and bring up new tasks and projects that need to be added to our schedules.

I keep having this unrealistic idea that things will slow down in a few months. Somethings will change and ease up but there will be new challenges that arise.

Our eldest is going to kindergarten in the fall, and between now and then our whole lives are going to change. We have no option but to keep running and keep breathing and keep going because if we stop we fail. There are so many things we need to tackle and change over the next 3 months that failure is not an option.

Anyway, if you’ve read this far please keep an eye on the Event’s page to see where I’ll be showcasing and selling my work over the next few months. Stop by and say hey and remind me it’s okay to take a deep breath and enjoy the moment.
